The Mulga Mesh IoT Node is a compact, low-power field node designed for remote monitoring applications.
It connects back to your Mulga Mesh network using long-range Wi-Fi HaLow and provides local 2.4GHz Wi-Fi so compatible cameras, weather stations and other devices can connect nearby. It can also be configured for RS485 sensors, allowing multiple compatible sensors to connect to a single IoT Node.
Use it for remote camera points, weather stations, soil and water monitoring, gate sensors, environmental sensors and other low-power applications where a full Mesh Node may not be required.

Let’s Answer Your Questions
Is the IoT Node the same as a Mesh Node?
No. The IoT Node works like a compact, lower-power network node, but it is designed more specifically for remote monitoring, sensors and selected connected devices.
What can I connect to the IoT Node?
The IoT Node supports a range of compatible devices. It provides local 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for cameras, making it useful as a remote camera connection point. It also works with weather stations and RS485 sensors - multiple RS485 sensors can be connected to a single IoT Node depending on your setup.
Does the IoT Node need mains power?
No. It is designed for low-power remote use and can be used with suitable battery and solar power options.
When should I use an IoT Node instead of a Mesh Node?
Use a Mesh Node when you need broader network extension and device coverage. Use an IoT Node when you mainly need a lower-power connection point for cameras, sensors, weather stations or field monitoring equipment.
