Built by People Who Live It
Mulga Mesh wasn't created in a boardroom. It was built by people who understand the realities of regional Australia and the challenges of staying connected. That's why our mission is simple: make reliable connectivity practical, affordable and accessible for the people who need it most.
-
Our Mission
To connect the places others can't, using technology designed for the realities of regional and remote Australia.
-
Our Vision
A future where every farm, station, conservation area, and remote operation can access the same connectivity opportunities as the city.
-
Our Goal
To help landowners and organisations spend less time working around connectivity limitations and more time focusing on what matters most.
Built by the People Who Understand the Problem
Mulga Mesh brings together world-class wireless engineering and real-world rural experience. Founded by Professor Neil Weste and supported by a team with deep connections to regional Australia, we understand both the technology that makes connectivity possible and the challenges faced by those who depend on it.
Everything we build is designed with one goal in mind: creating practical, reliable networks for places traditional solutions cannot reach.
Professor Neil Weste
Professor Neil Weste is one of Australia's most accomplished technology innovators and engineers. Best known as a pioneer of modern wireless communications and integrated circuit design, Neil has spent decades shaping technologies that have influenced the way the world connects.
Today, Neil brings that same expertise to Mulga Mesh, leading the development of advanced Wi-Fi HaLow connectivity solutions that deliver reliable, long-range communications where traditional networks fall short. His work with industry leaders, including Morse Micro, has helped drive the advancement of next-generation wireless technologies designed specifically for challenging environments.
At Mulga Mesh, Neil's vision is simple: make enterprise-grade connectivity accessible and practical for regional, rural and remote Australia.

Melissa Gaydon | Chief Operating Officer & Chief Commercial Officer
Melissa Gaydon combines hands-on business experience with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural Australians. Having owned and operated multiple businesses across ecommerce, production and operations, Melissa leads the commercial strategy and day-to-day operations of Mulga Mesh.
Together with her husband Dan, Melissa also runs One Tree Farm, a 100-acre beef cattle property that serves as the primary demonstration site for Mulga Mesh technology. Every product and solution is tested and proven in real-world conditions before being offered to customers.
Living and working on the land means Melissa understands first-hand the importance of reliable connectivity, farm security, efficient resource management and practical technology that genuinely improves daily life. It's this real-world perspective that helps ensure Mulga Mesh solutions are designed for the people who use them, not just the people who build them.
